Here’s the thing. That’s where satan wants us. He want us to believe that there is nothing more to do, he wants us to believe there is no hope and that there are just some that we are going to lose. We can get caught believing it because we’ve seen it happen. We’ve seen some that we’ve seemingly lost. BUT…where I am at right now, I refuse to believe those lies. Because THAT is what they are, lies.
We KNOW that in Christ, there is hope. We KNOW there is freedom. We KNOW that he can and will BREAK THE CHAINS. How do we know this? Because he says so. Let’s just go into scripture and stand on these promises now together. I would really like to take a minute in this blog and collectively pray for not only this young girl, but for all our kids that are lost and struggling. Because if we believe what we say we do, then we KNOW the power that is in your word.
John 16:33- “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
John 14:13-14- “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”
John 16:23-24- “In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and you joy will be complete.”
Matthew 7:7-8- “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
Colossians 1:17- “He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”
Hebrews 7:25- “Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God though Him, since He always loves to make intercession for them.”
Acts 2:31- “Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk. Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.”
Acts 4:10- “Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: “Rulers and elders of the people! If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a cripple and are asked how he was healed, then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.
Luke 10:17- “The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”
Revelation 17:14- “These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful. “
Colossians 3:17- “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Psalm 44:5 “Through You we will push back our adversaries; Through Your name we will trample down those who rise up against us. “
Luke 10:19: “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpent and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. “
Romans 8:37- “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death or life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. “
1 Corinthians 15:57 “…but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Now that we have been encouraged by the word of God, let us join together in praying over our children and for this young lady. Father, you are who you say you are and we believe it. We believe it and we receive it. We have read your word and you have told us that there is power in your name. So we stand here in confidence today and ask for the strongholds that are holding our kids down and away from you, be BROKEN. We ask that you bind the culture of hate, comparison, idols, and ego. Lord, release for our kids YOUR vision for their lives. Lives filled with love, selflessness, grace, forgiveness, service, revelation and salvation. Show them that that it is really YOU they seek. That YOU ALONE will fill the voids they are seeking to fill. Father let them see it. Inject into their lives visions of what this looks like for them. Lord, we know that many things out there are counterfeits. They lure them in, offering what they cannot give. Break the falseness of this. Bring the Holy Spirit in to offer guidance. Give these young adults insight. Bring strong believers, the kind that seek you relentlessly into their lives. Bring your goodness and mercy to our kids Lord. Lord, we are tired of seeing the brokenness. We cannot stand to hear of one more suicide! We do not want to see families torn apart! We will not stand for this. Lord help us wake up. Help us remember the power in your name. We ask this in your powerful name. We anticipate your moving in their lives and we will glorify you in the waiting! Amen and AMEN!
